On the marks of World-Cup Champion Rudi Altig
Today public competitors can race in the same place where Rudi Altig won the bicycle world cup in 1966. The course is challenging and appealing for hobby athletes as well as for ambitious riders. The climb to the "Hohe Acht" is the most challenging section on the 25 km course.
Participants can choose between three different distances through the "Green Hell":
25 km, 75 km (3 rounds) or 150 km (6 rounds) are available. The 25 km-race is new to the program since 2010 and "gateway drug" for fun racing at the Nürburgring. It does not count to the German Cycling Cup
All races will be started simultaneously, each distance in its own block.
Rad am Ring is one of 10 events within the German Cycling Cup series.
