Paddock Entry

Planned Right of Way

Scheduling

To access the riders paddock on Friday there will be a time frame from 4:00 to 10:00 pm available. We have planned two separate entrance zones, so we can expand the capacity massively.

On Friday before 2:00 pm all exclusive access roads for "Rad und Run am Ring" will be closed. Participants who arrive before 2:00 pm must wait at one of the assigned public parking areas. The police will not tolerate waiting cars on the roads.

From 2:00 pm the access roads to the FSZ II and Hatzenbachtunnel, on the road between FSZ I and the Nürburg castle, will be open and tailback zones will be set up to manage the traffic.

From 4:00 pm the access to the parcels will be possible.

On Saturday there will be a time frame from 7:00 to 7:45 am where both entrances will be open for late arrivers.

TIMETABLE FOR Rad am Ring

Traffic Management System

Widely spread around the entrance zones there will be a traffic management system with mobile displays and sound trucks: More information will follow on time prior to the event.

Access roads

There will be two accesses. One over the wellknown FSZ II entrace the other one through the so-called Hatzenbachtunnel. The parcels will be divided into color zones in the entrance plan. Your color will be shown on the admission for entrance form that you will receive prior to the event by mail. Please refer to the entrance plan that can be downloaded as a PDF and allows very detailed views.

Note: The size of the Hatzenbachtunnel is limited to 3.60 meters. Drivers of higher vehicles should get in contact with us prior to the race to get individual instructions.

Please read the entrance plan carefully!

Zone Blue / Green

The colors blue and green will enter via the FSZ II. Around 2 pm there will be a tailback area on the GP course, where we will separate the vehicles by colors. From 4:00 pm you will be able to enter the parcels. Blue will hit straight ahead towards the Mercedes Arena. Light blue will be the "front parcels", dark blue belongs to the back.

The green sector follows the same philosophy with light and dark green. At the respective branch points there will be service guides to assist.

Zone Red / Yellow

The tailback area is located on the road that is blocked for our event. All participants drive through the Hatzenbachtunnel and will be guided (by color) to their parcel areas.

Access during the event

The access roads on the Stefan-Bellof Street and through the Hatzenbachtunnel will be open throughout the event. Due to the race course, not every parcel will be accessible (see map). If you need to leave the Nürburgring during the event you should park the car outside on the public parking areas.
